As in previous years, Trifam is assembling a team of pacer for this year's Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon.

The this Trifam initiative was started at least 4 years ago, our objective is to give opportunity to runners who want to contribute to the running community by running the marathon at a constant pace and help others achieve their marathon goals.

To be a good marathon pacer, you should:
1) have some experience in marathon running
2) be able to run the marathon at a constant pace
3) willing to run at a slower pace than your capability during race day
4) not be aiming for PB

We are looking for about 32 pacers from 3:45hr to 5:30hr for full marathon pace. If you would like to contribute your time and effort to support this cause, do step forward. David Tay, our veteran marathoner will be leading the team.

Regular training will be on Saturdays at ECP, and in a couple of weeks time (after David comes back from his Berlin Marathon), on tuesdays/thursdays as well

If you like to find out more, email me at gentle@triathlonfamily.com

Cheers

It's official!

The pacer team led by our club vice president David Tay is recognised by Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon organisers as a part of the event.

This is a big achievement for David and the team who has put in much effort over the years to make the pacer initiative an official "feature" of Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon. We would like to thank everyone who make this possible.

What's more, ESPN Star Sports will be doing a feature of the team on marathon day, as well as during their regular training tomorrow (22 Nov - Sat) 6:30 at East Coast Park - skating ring next to McDonalds. You are invited to join in the fun. In fact, everyone is welcome to join the training (2 x 12km LSD)

Look out for them on race day!
